How often do you let the people in your life know that they are loved? That they are special? Or appreciated?
Words are energy: what you say (or don’t say) to someone has the power to profoundly impact their heart and soul.
And chances are, we don’t tell those we care about how much they mean to us, or how amazing they are often enough.
“Language does have the power to change reality. Therefore, treat your words as the mighty instruments they are – to heal, to bring into being, to remove, as if by magic, the terrible violations of childhood, to nurture, to cherish, to bless, to forgive – to create from the whole cloth of your soul, true love.” ― Daphne Rose Kingma
Today, give 3 words of love to at least one person you know. It could be:
“I love you” to a family member or friend.
“You are awesome!” to your child or children you care for.
“I appreciate you!” to a co-worker who has worked really hard on a project.
“You are beautiful” to someone who is struggling with their self-image.
“I miss you” to someone who lives far away.
“You amaze me” to someone who inspires you with their strength and resolve.
What are your 3 words of love?
My 3 words of love are for my husband – in honor of his birthday today and his love for romantic comedies:
You complete me.
Feel free to share your experience or your creative suggestions. If you’re on Twitter or Instagram, share using the 24daysofgiving hashtag. Let’s spread some love and good cheer!
